The Registered Professional Marketer and Certificate of Registration

The use of RPM by the Canadian Institute of Marketing and its professional members informs the public and industry that the holder of such designation is considered by the Canadian Institute of Marketing to be a Registered Professional Marketer (RPM). The Canadian Institute of Marketing issues professional credentials to individuals who wish to be known and practise as professional marketers, and accredits the marketing programs of Canadian University and College marketing programs.

A Registered Professional Marketer practises marketing under the provisions of a Certificate of Registration that is renewable every two years. The trademark RPM informs the public and industry that the holder practises and understands the application of globally-recognized marketing principles, standards and ethics, taught in Canadian University and College marketing programs and selected foreign learning organizations specializing in marketing programs. The designation also informs the public and industry that the holder has at least 5 years of marketing experience with progressively higher levels of responsibility.


   

This study guide is designed to help you obtain your maximum potential score on the written portion of the exam to obtain a Certificate of Registration from the Canadian Institute of Marketing. The holder of the Certificate of Registration (C of R) allows permits the use of the post nominal RPM (Registered Professional Marketer.

  The Canadian Institute of Marketing is taking applications for its fall exams which include a multiple choice online written exam and an online oral examination of a case study. The oral exam will follow within 7 to 10 days depending upon availability of examiners and the applicant.

The Institute will accept applications from the first 10 applicants who apply.

There is a CAD $200 application fee that must accompany the application within 15 days. PayPal payments are accepted; cheques are the preferred method for payment. We can also provide coordinates for a bank-to-bank transfer of funds.
