John Jackson, MCInst.M
John Jackson has been involved with the automotive aftermarket since the 1980s when he took a contract with the Auto Parts Sectoral Training Council as a Curriculum Designer. After working in Western Canada (Alberta and Saskatchewan) at Lakeland Interprovincial College and at the Blue Quills Native Education Centre, he eventually joined the Canadian Automotive Institute, now the Automotive Business School of Canada (ABSC). He is an experienced faculty member at the ABSC and longtime humanist. Beginning with his studies in Television, Stage and Radio Arts Technology (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology), he has a Bachelor of Education Degree (Honours) (University of Calgary), a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Cognitive Anthropology (York University), a Specialist Qualification in the teaching of English as a Second Language and a Masters Degree in Theory and Policy Studies in Cognitive Philosophy (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto). He has comprehensive experience in public and private radio and television broadcasting, newspaper publishing and advertising and multi-media advertising. He also has experience in international journalism. He has lived, traveled and lectured extensively in Asia, Europe, Africa, The Middle East and the Caribbean. Professor Jackson has received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, which recognizes those Canadians who have “made a significant contribution to a particular province, territory, region or community within Canada, or an achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada.

Taiwo Soetan, MCInst.M

Taiwo Soetan obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Agriculture from the University of Ibadan, a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Management from the University of Calabar,and two Master’s degrees in Economic Management & Policy and Economics from the Strathclyde Business School, University of Strathclyde and the University of Manitoba respectively. He successfully led the re-engineering effort of the Collections Unit, now Transactions Banking Group of Ecobank (Nig) Plc - a strategic partner and part of Eco Transnational Inc, the largest pan African Bank with offices in more than 38 countries of the world - in 2004. He won the best performing staff Award in the bank as a lone staff of the Collections Unit i.e Deal of the Month Award in July, 2004. He has published articles in the journal of the Canadian Institute of Marketing and was a recipient of the Mervin Maxwell Award at Red River College in June, 2014. Taiwo has wide-ranging Industry experience in Banking, International Business and Marketing, Administration, Management, Financial Services, and Higher Education across Africa, Europe and North America. He lectures at the School of Business & Applied Arts, Red River College, Manitoba, Canada.

Howard Pearl, FCInst.M

Howard Pearl has 25 years experience as a CEO / General Manager including: Automotive, Aerospace, Digital & Strategic Marketing, Manufacturing, and Offshore Management. His strongest attributes are connecting and building lasting relationships and strong, cohesive and effective teams. His operational experience includes business in Canada, China, and the USA. In addition, he holds coaching and developing talent, strategic development, capital raise, reorganization, and rapid growth experience.

Specialties include a full range of marketing services for professional associations, industry associations, and private sector businesses involved in buried infrastructure, geomatics, consulting engineering, and land development.


Eric Doubt, MCInst.M

Eric Doubt, is President and creative director of Communication Associates, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2014 as a marketing and communications service business focused on the local, national and international B2B, healthcare and non profit sectors. Eric works with Access Employment as a marketing sector career coach and workshop facilitator for new Canadian professionals. Since 2006, Eric has been volunteering and working professionally in Haiti with NGOs, especially in the physical medicine and rehabilitation sector, as a executive director and communications consultant. In the past, Eric has been a medical journalist, college teacher, president of an international  B2B advertising agency and served on a number of local and international volunteer boards. He is working on a long term project to produce a multi platform documentary telling the story of disability and persons with disabilities in Haiti. Eric earned a BA from Bishop's University and a certificate for the Introduction to  Global Health course from the University of Copenhagen.


Mahmud Hossain, MCInst.M

More than 15 years of experience in project management in development and commercial sector. Working as "Making Markets Works for Poor"-Advisor (M4P Advisor) for Agriculture Markets Development Trust - Tanzania, based in Dar es Salaam. He worked in the commercial sector and then shifted to the development sector and focused in social and rural marketing. He set up an NGO based in Toronto called- (SEDE-Foundation) Society for Empowerment, Development and Entrepreneurship Foundation, and is executive director. 

Completed programs in public health, agriculture, climate change and environment, poverty reduction and economic development in Bangladesh. Supported development of strategic frameworks for livelihoods, agricultural value chains, and climate resiliency projects. Developed vocational skills for asset-less groups and engaged employment. Managed complex projects and lead government and donor partners. Skilled in negotiating, awarding and managing sub-agreements/contracts with local partners including planning, budgeting, communication, recruitment, performance review and evaluation. Special skills in Public Private Partnerships and sustainability techniques. International work experience in the Tibetan Autonomous Region, China and Afghanistan.


John Manalis, MCInst.M

John is an accomplished strategist and marketer with 20 years of diverse and international experience. He has worked with great success in positions of increased exposure and responsibility involving regional and global projects for Unilever, Novartis Consumer Health, RadioShack Corp., and Hellenic Breweries (former A-B InBev), in Europe, and for CIBC in Canada. His areas of expertise are in Strategic Planning, Brand/Category Management and Business Setup and Development. John holds a BBA in General Management from Piraeus University, Greece and an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from McGill University. John has been awarded many times in the academic and professional arenas. He volunteers as Chair for a NPO for children and is a McGill MBA mentor. 


Jocelyn Visco, MCInst.M., RPM

Jocelyn is a seasoned professional marketer and operations professional supporting Information Communications Technology. She is well-versed in product/solution management and implementation of IT-based services and Advanced Wireless Network Solutions in various sectors. She has more than 15 years of experience managing multimillion-dollar programs  that launched new products, and revitalized delayed programs and projects. Her international market operations experience included living, traveling and participating in trade exhibitions and customer meetings/presentations in the EU, APAC and North America.


Reg Sheppard, MCInst.M., RPM

Dr. Reginald G. Sheppard is an Associate Professor of Marketing in The Faculty of Business Administration at The University of New Brunswick (UNB), Fredericton, NB, Canada. He has under-graduate degrees in each of Science (Mathematics), Arts (English Literature), and Education (Mathematics and Science Education) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. He also holds a Master of Educational Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from The University of New Brunswick at Fredericton, Canada, and a PhD in Marketing and Economic Development from The School of Management, University of Bath, Bath Spa, United Kingdom. 

Dr. Sheppard is a Professional Member (MCInst.M.) of the Canadian Institute of Marketing (CIM), and holds the designation of Registered Professional Marketer (RPM) from the CIM.

James Beatty, MCInst.M

Mr. Beatty is a teacher, entrepreneur, business leader, and consultant. He has over 30 years’ experience in both academia and the corporate world. Jason Rasevych, the philanthropist /First Nations activist/media expert/ professional marketer has had a history of success as the leading mind behind dozens of special projects for several organizations in Northern Ontario. His entrepreneurial mindset, keen understanding of business and relentless spirit has provided him with opportunities to work as a problem solving consultant, and is one of the youngest managers for Matawa First Nations Management. Jason oversees Matawa’s Economic Development department and provides advisory services to a group of nine First Nations, most known for being directly impacted by the Ring of Fire mining phenomenon in Northwestern Ontario.
